Welcome to my blog!!

I have never been a very good writer. I spit thoughts on to paper in no particular order and I tend to love lists and photos, so bear with me as I learn to share and write more cohesively.

For my first post, I think that it is fitting that I should start with a list. Here are 25 favorite things for my 25 years, that you may or may not know about me.

1. My favorite food is the potato. The versatility is untouchable to that of any other food item. I like to think that I am some sort of potato connoisseur, I can always if and when potatoes are real or if they are instant.

2. I like sports, but I don't live for them. My teams are the Royals, the Chiefs, K-State, Fort Hays State University, and all my hometown teams.

3. When I was little I wanted to grow up to me a Marine Biologist... Man, did I stray from that path.

4. I love the color green, it is calming and also happens to be one of the colors that looks the best on me.

5. I love country music and can swing dance fairly well. Although I don't dance much anymore.

6. I was a varsity cheerleader in high school, and made co-captain with my best friend our senior year. I miss it every single day.

7. Seven is my lucky number. It has been my entire life, and it always has a way of reminding me in everyday little things.

8. I prefer whiskey to beer, but sometimes a glass of wine really hits the spot.

9. I have one sister.

10. I'm one of those crazy Dr. Pepper people. It always sounds good, even at six in the morning.

11. My favorite movie of all time is Top Gun. Enough said.

12. I love going to rodeos. Never have I ever owned a horse or competed, but I love everything about them, and was even on a rodeo committee for a couple years.

13. When I was younger I acted in small community musicals and plays, I took piano lessons, was in band, church choir and choir all through school too. I even tried out and made my high schools Show Choir. During spring break my junior year we went to Branson MO, to open for some shows there.

14. I love to snow ski, between the ages of seven and twenty, I went to Breckenridge every winter for a whole week. It will always be my favorite place to ski.

15. Growing up every Friday night was pizza and movie night at the Howland house, and to this day it is still one of my favorite ways to spend a Friday night.

16. I prefer salty over sweet but have my favorites of both, popcorn and chocolate for sure!

17. I was 17 the first time I ever went to Las Vegas, and I loved it.

18. Being a Kansas girl, I absolutely love sunflowers. They are so vibrant and warm and welcoming! You can't help but love them.

19. If I could go anywhere in the world, I would go to Ireland.

20. I hate coffee and coconut with a passion, the sad thing is... I really wish I liked them both.

21. Growing up I was in a 4-H club called Kouragous Kids, where I learned many life skills like public speaking, sewing, cooking, photography and parliamentary procedure. I was even the President of our club when I was in the fourth grade.

22. I still remember all of my Elementary school teachers names and am even friends with some of them on Facebook.

23. My favorite holiday is Independence Day.

24. My favorite book is In Cold Blood by Truman Capote

25. And lastly, I name all of my cars after fictional dogs.

Hope you enjoyed all of these, and I hope you stick around for more!
